Bergerac, France - Part 2 (what we ate)

Bergerac is known as the land of foie gras - so what do I eat for 4 days straight? Yup! - that + duck + potatoes + wine + dessert...every day. What is wrong with a fat bride?




starter: country soup - it serves 6 hence the huge bowl. So good....I can't promise we stick to one serving per person ....hmmm












why do we not get these kind of tomato selection in London?

this is the best thing about the lil town we were staying in - Sunday night market where to local producers come out to cook a feast and every week a wine maker serve their wine at rock bottom prices to promote it.

View from our B&B - we stayed right in the middle of all the vineyards with great view of Chateau Monbazillac (world famous sweet wine producer). amazing!

Short birthday holiday to Bergerac which is close to Bordeaux but not quite Bordeaux hence cheaper flights (score!) and cheaper wine (alright!). Amazing weather which makes it even better, esp considering it was pish in London :)

In bed for a nap after the sunday papers and a cuppa. I am completely shattered after a whirlwind Paris-Berlin-Rome work travel madness. Switzerland tomorrow so it is not all over yet!
